So where exactly are we going?

The beautiful house we'll stay in, high in the Pyrenees!

We are all looking forward very much to our trip to the French Pyrenees, where we'll be staying high up in the mountains, about 20 minutes drive from the Mediterranean. The picture above shows exactly where we'll be staying, and it's only a few kilometres from the town of Arles-sur-Tech. I know that both Sandy and Olivia will enjoy using the pool, as will Anna and myself! However, we'll be planning to get out and about too, and hope to swim in a local lake, and paddle in the River Tech, which flows past the accommodation.

When we return to Finland, we are going to stay at the Santalahti Holiday Centre for the second time, having spent such a wonderful time there in 2006.

The picture below shows the bay of Santalahti, and by clicking on the photo, you can see a bigger version, which clearly shows the Finnish bay. The cottages where we'll be staying are nestled around the beach, in light woodland. Anna's parents and Uncle and Aunt will be there again, although unlike last time, they'll have their own cottage, and so we are not going to be renting the largest and most sumptious lodge like we did in 2006.

Santalahti Bay, Kotka, Finland.

After staying in Kotka, we will then head north to Varkaus in eastern Finland, where we are going to meet up with, and stay at the house of the teacher I have done an eTwinning project with during the past year. I have to say that we are all looking forward to this final part of our summer holiday very much, as we have received many photos of this beautiful area of Finland, so it will be a real treat to see it finally, and to meet my learning partner and his family!

It's all planned, and we're waiting...

Yes, the holidays are planned, we just need to wait now for the time to come. As you can see from the sidebar on the left, we are off to stay in both France and Finland this summer.
